Handling jewellery
- Jewellery should be the last thing you put on and the first thing you take off.
- Add jewellery after you’ve used cosmetics, hair products, lotions etc.
- Take off jewellery when you're working out, swim, or taking a shower.
- Wipe jewellery with clean, soft cloth after use - especially if you're been sweating.
- Never use alcohol-based cleaners, bleaches or disinfectants!
- Store each jewellery in their own boxes when not in use. Plastic bag works well too, if jewellery is not delicate.
Cleaning jewellery

When cleaning jewellery over the sink, remember to plug the drain!
If the jewellery has stone or stones, ensure that the stones are secure; if they aren’t, take the jewellery to a professional care.
Check from the gemstone guide how to take care of specific gemstones. Avoid rubbing the stones too much!
You can clean precious metals like bronze, copper, and brass with a new, soft toothbrush and a little bit of soapy water. Check that the soap doesn't have any bleach or other chemicals that may be harmful for the metal and stones.
If the jewellery has small, moving pieces or jewelry is delicate, you can still clean it carefully. Just be sure that the pieces don't fall off or get damaged!
Cleaning delicate jewellery
- Put the jewellery in a clean bowl and add a little bit of water and liquid soap.
- Then you can scrub carefully with a new, clean brush, like a toothbrush or eyeshadow brush.
- To rinse the jewellery, just put clean water in another bowl and move the jewellery to that bowl. Do not rinse delicate jewellery under running water!
- After washing, dry jewellery with a clean, dry, and fuzz-free cloth.
